Shivraj Parshad has nearly two decades of experience in journalism, broadcasting, communications and training.
Beginning his career with India's premiere media house New Delhi Television (NDTV) in 1995, he helped transform the company’s profile from being a mere software and content provider to a competitive global broadcaster. During his tenure he has covered landmark events like 9/11, Iraq War, Indo-US Nuclear Deal, among others. He has also interviewed global leaders like Kofi Annan, Vladimir Putin, Benazir Bhutto, Mahenda Rajpakse and Jack Straw.
Shivraj joined the Practice Strategic Communications, a Bangalore-based leading public relations company, in 2008 as head of its Delhi office, and was instrumental in leading and expanding the firm’s technology and consumer practices.
In 2010 he took over the agency’s training and digital content mandate, when the agency drew on his rich experience in music, theater, public speaking and broadcasting to create a unique capacity building service offering for clients. He has conducted trainings and facilitated events for clients such as the World Health Organization, UNICEF, Infosys, MAHYCO, MSN, Oracle, McAfee, among others. He has also created successful digital campaigns, notable among them being the Khemka Foundation’s Social Entrepreneurship Award in 2008 and the Infosys Science Prize.
He is currently on the Managing Committee of the Public Relations Consultants Association of India and has performed as part of Theater Action Group 20 year’s celebration and St Stephen’s college’s Shakespeare Society in addition to being a news Anchor.
Shivraj co-founded Brevis with a view to create a unique opportunity to work with organisations looking at capacity building, through training, content and strategic interventions.
